At all career stages, Jeremy Simon's diverse editorial work has helped organizations inspire and attract constituents, build community and consensus, and pursue positive change.

He is the senior writer and editor for the U.S. Center for SafeSport, and recently led communications at Western Colorado University and at the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education, an interstate agency based in Boulder, Colo. 

Before that, he led advancement marketing and communications for the University of Colorado System, directing a creative services operation serving development partners on all four CU campuses, and overseeing functions ranging from media relations to digital communications to brand. He authored and directed the lead case statements for CU’s $1.5 billion Creating Futures campaign, and founded and edited CU’s campaign flagship Creating Futures magazine. Since leaving CU, his higher education experience has served clients seeking services ranging from campaign case development to admissions essay writing.

Prior to CU, Jeremy served key communications roles for the Colorado Rocky Mountain School, the Aspen Music Festival and School, and the National Arts Journalism Program. He began his career as an arts, features, and business journalist for the Colorado Springs Gazette, winning Society of Professional Journalists awards for arts and feature writing.

Originally from Scotch Plains, N.J., Jeremy received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from Northwestern University and a master’s degree in creative nonfiction writing from Columbia University. His freelance writings of essays, humor and music criticism have been published here and there.

Outside the office, he is often found on his road bike, at the Scrabble board or pinball arcade, or searching far and wide for the best gumbo and the perfect Buffalo wing. He lives in Broomfield, Colo. with his two children, Hank (13) and Nora (10).
